During this Labor Day weekend, the second annual ARC Music Festival will take place at Union Park, celebrating the origins of Chicago house music and inviting a diverse lineup of dance music artists from around the world. This two-day festival has been extended to three days this year. You can see performers like Chicago native Honey Dijon, Swedish DJ Adam Beyer, and British techno composer Carl Cox. You can also witness the performance of the legendary Chicago house musicians Derrick Carter and DJ Lady D.

If you want to spend Labor Day in a more classy way you can watch top-notch jazz performances by musicians who are both nationally and globally renowned and well-known Chicago jazz performers.
Jazz in the Court will be a free performance series held at Harper Court in Hyde Park, you can watch live outdoor jazz performances every first Friday of the month this summer. This year's performers will be the Thaddeus Tukes Quartet (August 5), Chuck Webb with Margaret Murphy-Webb and Tony Carpenter (July 1), Denise Thimes Quartet (July 1), and the Dee Alexander Quartet (June 3).
